What 614.44 ft means on Lake Texoma

What each level means

Approximate. Based on published thresholds (ramp minimums, full pool, spillway, records), but every cove is different.

  1. Flood pool exhaustedabove 640.00 ft

    Above 640 ft Denison Dam is into surcharge operations. The record is 645.72 ft (May 31, 2015); in 2015 parks and marinas flooded lake-wide.

  2. In the flood pool620.00–640.00 ft

    Storing floodwater above conservation pool; low-lying parks, courtesy docks, and some ramps go under first.

  3. Near normal612.00–620.00 ftnow · 614.44 ft

    Conservation pool is about 617 ft (seasonal). Most infrastructure in good shape.

  4. Below normal605.00–612.00 ft

    Striper fleet still runs, but shallow ramps and coves start pinching.

  5. Deep drawdownbelow 605.00 ft

    Widespread ramp closures and long walks to the water on flats.
